rouge is a design-led collection of stays and dining in Ubud, created by two French hosts, Laurent & Dominique. What began as a single destination has evolved over time into a focused portfolio: contemporary loft living and a small collection of private villas, paired with French dining at Cafe Gabriel.

If you stayed with us in earlier years, you may remember the original rouge lounge bar and the garden villas. Today, our accommodation offering has evolved, with an emphasis on privacy, strong design, and a calmer experience while remaining close to central Ubud.

Gabriel French Bistro is our French dining concept in Ubud — a relaxed place to enjoy classic flavours, good wine, and an easy atmosphere. Whether you’re coming in for an unhurried lunch, a pre-dinner aperitif, or a long evening with friends, Gabriel is designed to feel welcoming and effortless.

Expect timeless bistro favourites, thoughtfully prepared and served with the kind of warmth you want on holiday — the sort of place where you can dress up a little, or simply arrive as you are after a day exploring Ubud.
